Meet the Members of Our Wedding Party!

We asked them these 3 questions:

1. How do you know the couple?
2. What is your favorite memory with the bride or groom?
3. What are you looking forward to in Costa Rica?

 1. Since high school, the bride has been my lifelong friend, and at that time, I knew Jet as her crush. Now, they are both part of my extended family.
2. To be honest, there are numerous memorable moments with the bride, ranging from our high school trip, reunions, game nights, travels, workouts, dancing, dinners, drinks, outings, celebrations of firsts and milestones, concerts, themed dress-ups, and movie nights. However, what truly stands out for me among all these experiences is the incredible laughter we shared. One particular memory that holds a special place in my heart is when all of us, including Jet, laughed uncontrollably to the point of tears.
3. Watching my best friend marry the love of her life, of course!

1. Wow (I am going to sound old), I knew the couple back in 2005 in North Miami Senior High. In the back of De La Cruz’s class, not doing any work and just clowning around. So we go waaaaaaaay back!

2. My favorite memory is actually a recent memory, Jet and Krista finally seeing baby Aaliyah in person. Seeing their reaction to the newest member of the SUTB (insider) family was priceless and just shows the growth of our relationship and where we all started from. Their face lit up seeing Aaliyah and she was so excited to see them. While some would shy away from babies, they didn't and wanted to spent the whole time with her. You couldn't separate Jet from Aaliyah.

3. I am looking forward to seeing another one of my best friends transitioned to a new step in his life with the love of his life. Enjoying more memories with our families and returning to one of the most beautiful places in the world.
And of course………..THE FADED! Pure Vida Baby!!!! GO JET AND KRISTA!

1.  I first met Krista at American Senior High School, where we shared a few classes and many laughs (in English class mainly), along with our bestie, Megan. After high school, we drifted apart for a bit but as fate would have it, we reunited and it was at that point that I had the honor of meeting Jet. God truly outdid himself when he put them together.
2.  My favorite memory with both Krista and Jet would have to be when we all went to Disney together. If you know Jet, you know he’s not exactly an open book at first. The phrase “challenge accepted” came to mind! Long story short, by the end of the trip, Jet and I were laughing together and making jokes (#princenaveeen). I was really happy to be able to enjoy so many adventures and laughs with Krista on that trip as well, like making funny videos all around the park! Memories to last a lifetime.
3.  I’ve never traveled outside the U.S. so this is definitely a first! I’m very excited to experience “a whole new world” in Costa Rica and be witness to one of the most magical and romantic love stories God has ever orchestrated.  I’m honored to be one of the MOHs and I can’t wait to Jetset with the Josephs!

1. I met Jet our freshman year of college at UF in 2009. Funny enough, I did not picture us being friends with how crazy him, Mario, and Jay were back then; and now they are some of my best friends. I met Krista at one of the Jet’s family parties back in Miami when we’d visit on breaks and she was visiting home from Penn State.
2. My favorite memory with Jet and Krista is when we all took a trip to Cuba. Our group of friends all had a great time drinking Havana Club, riding around in old school cars, and eating really good food (sometimes having to wait 20…..45….) - and always creating new inside jokes.
3. I’m looking forward to getting to see Jet and Krista get married and celebrating the start to their new chapter in life. Also, getting to experience the nature, culture, and pura vida that is Costa Rica.

1. I’ve known both the Bride and Groom since high school. We North Miami goons fo lyfe! SWAMP DAWG SALUTE!
2. I have far too many memories with both, but if I really had to choose one I would have to go back to my 32nd bday celebration at Twin Peaks last year. We were watching the Heat get beat pretty badly by the Nuggets and I just remember Jet letting my friend Joel HAVE IT! It was hilarious because I remember Jet doing the same exact thing to me back in college when Kobe hit that game winner on Wade. I hated it then, but man… It just reminds me of all the good times we’ve shared.
3. I’m excited to see both the Bride and Groom take this next step in their lives. It’s truly a blessing to share this milestone with them. While I can’t wait to sip on a whole lotta fade, it’s moments like these that we can’t ever take for granted.

1. I went to college at Penn State University and met Krista and the White Building. Jenna our friend introduced me to her. I met Jet for the first time when he came to visit me in
Philly and had the best time!
2. For over 10 years, Krista and I have shared a friendship full of laughs, good times, love, support, and great advice, just when you need it. I can confidently say every time we hang out is a memorable time, but a moment that encompasses our friendship and makes me giggle every time I think about it, is when I went to visit her in Miami for Thanksgiving, and we were both getting dressed to go out. We walked out of our rooms at the same time and were essentially wearing the same outfit! Krista and I grew up on opposite sides of the world and although you might not expect it, we share so many similarities. We grew up with similar family values, both appreciate fashion (hence the dress), hard work, and are both career driven women. She gets it. She gets me. Looking forward to more years of laughter and fun with both her and Jet!
Jet came to visit us in Philly last year and we all became instant family. The kids still ask about Uncle Jet and the impression he made after a short visit is still felt.
3. I’ve been to Costa Rica before and miss it dearly. Looking forward to the beautiful sunsets, clean air, and to party at the biggest event of the year with the best people!

1. I met the couple in 9th grade at North Miami Senior High School!
2. My favorite memory with Jedly is flipping people's bookbags and getting kicked out of Ms. Shepherd's class.
3.  I am looking forward to celebrating Krista and Jedly becoming one, and sharing in the beginning of a lifetime full of love and blessings.

1. Krista is the bestest friend and roommate from  our undergrad Penn State days! #WEARE
Jet is her dashing groom!

 2. My favorite memory from way back when is experiencing Nicki Minaj & Young Money in concert at Penn State with Krista during her hardcore Barbie days! Of course she knew all the lines!
Also - having each other to celebrate the holidays we were away from home was very special and comforting. It made PSU feel more like home!

 3. I am looking forward to celebrating the union of these two amazing individuals with their loved ones. It is beautiful and inspiring to see love conquer all!

1. Jet and I met in undergrad at the University of Florida but became brothers when we both crossed into the Gamma Omicron Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated. He and I bonded over our shared sense of humor and the fact that we could laugh at literally anything. When regular show came out it felt like we were the real life Mordecai and Rigby minus the golf cart and the fact that neither of us would ever change our name to Trash Boat.

 2. Jet and I have shared innumerable memorable experiences together but I think my favorite would have to be the OAS step show the summer going into our junior year. That entire summer was memorable but that show specifically was the icing on the cake.

 3. As much as I’m looking forward to being able to enjoy the resort and take in the scenery of Costa Rica, what I am looking forward to most is the opportunity to see Jet and Krista join in matrimony and begin their life together as a married couple. I take comfort in knowing that they’ve each been blessed enough to find someone who they can not only celebrate their victories with but to comfort and console them in their down times.
